The Sony World Photography Awards Student Day

Here is an opportunity meet and learn from two of Australia's most respected photographers, Gary Heery and Liz Loh-Taylor as part of the Sony World Photography awards.

Liz Loh-Taylor is a 2011 Sony World Photography Awards professional winner in the Travel category and a humanitarian photographer whose work has been recognised internationally and Gary Heery is an incredibly successful commercial and artistic photographer who has worked with the likes of Madonna, Elvin Costello and Andy Warhol

In addition to sharpening your photographic skills, this is your exclusive chance to learn some valuable tips and tricks on how to make it in this exciting industry. Liz will also touch on particular skills to enhance your Student Focus entry, considering lighting, composition, movement and more.

Classes will be held at Sydney Opera House on the 18th November from 10am until 3:30pm.

Oganised annually by the World Photography Organisation (WPO), the Sony World Photography Awards is the largest international competition of its kind and this is the first time the awards have been exhibited in Sydney.

With a record entry of over 100,000 from 162 countries worldwide, the Awards celebrate all genres of photography including fine art, commercial, photojournalism and documentary, providing an opportunity for photographers to have their work exhibited around the world with an audience of millions.

This year's exhibition captures the inspirational theme of 'Speed of Life' and shows winners and highly recommended artists.
