Lucas Wroe is a photographer, who truly loves his job. He works with sponsors, publishers, agencies, athletes and event organizers to provide commercial and editorial photography. Stemming from his athletic history and photographic training, Lucas’s work is biased heavily towards the sports industry. He greatly attributes his style to influences and mentoring by some of Australia’s top sports photographers. Lucas commands a unique position, having studied on the cusp of a revolutionary technical change, being trained in both traditional film and modern digital techniques. Lucas Wroe is a highly respected Australian photographer, receiving awards covering editorial, corporate and sporting images. Working alongside event organizers, sponsors, athletes and various agencies has allowed Lucas to establish ties both in Australia and internationally. His experience gained over the years encompasses a wide variety of situations and events. Working in a variety of settings, Lucas has established himself as a versatile shooter capable of capturing completely in camera or tailoring his workflow for various post-production techniques. Adding to his skills, Lucas is able to offer his clients photography and retouching services to a very high standard. Evolving his craft in Brisbane, Queensland has taught Lucas to work in extreme conditions and use this to consistently provide high end images for his clients. Often noted for his style of using punchy colour and clean backgrounds, swell as utilizing “shafts” of light to add to his imagery.
