Head On Peoples choice award

The winner of the 2011 People's Choice Award is Alex Vaughan for her photograph 'Les and Eileen'.
The runner up is Gary Ramage for his photo 'Best Mates'.

 They join the other winners this year: Stephen Dupont, Shauna Greyerbiehl, James Brickwood and Katrin Koenning.

 This year's prize pool was worth over $50,000 and was generously sponsored by: Canon, Adobe, Kayell, Epson, Lowepro, SanDisk, ACDSee, Nik Software and Focal Press.

Head On Portrait Prize will be on display at the Austarlian Centre for Photography till Saturday 11 June.

This weekend (June 11/12) is the final weekend for the festival this year. Many shows will close over the weekend; check the calendar for more details. It has been an outstanding success for photographers, venues, galleries, our partners and our viewing audience; congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated.

Head On Photo Festival will be back in May 2012; make sure you are on the mailing list to receive Call for Submissions in the next few weeks.
