What point and shoot camera are you recommending?

4 June 2010 at 5:26pm
I constantly get asked by clients and friends what small camera to get. Usually happens about 30 seconds after they spot my LX3. But the LX3 isn't really ideal for many of them - they don't need RAW files and the LX3 is still a tad on the bulky side, seems silly to pay the premium for it.
Pretty much all of them have an iPhone already and the camera on that is pretty good if you can keep the lens clean. The upside to it is that it really is pocketable and always handy. The downsides is that it can be a bit awkward to use, gets noisy and it's not much use for shooting your kids footy/hockey/netball match.

Hi , check out the Panasonic GF1 or the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7, this one in particular is very good but the GF1 has a sweet 20mm 1.4 lense

For beginners better off having a Canon 550D or Nikon D70 and so on
