Best Accounting Software

12 August 2010 at 10:44am
Would love to hear what software people are using for accounting and bookkeeping.
Plenty of options out there just wondering if anyone can give me comparisons between MYOB and blinkbid.
Would be using for invoicing and bookkeeping.Thanks.

Hi Gary,
Blinkbid is excellent for invoices, tracking license use and depends on your accountant or bookkeeper on the software they want you to use. Many of the accountants/bookkeepers now have software that is links directly to your bank account which is make BAS easier.
MYOB is very popular.

I use MYOB and send of the file to my accountant who prepares my BAS and end of year requirements. There has never been an issue with this and it does save quite a bit in dollars.

I only use microsoft office excel for invoicing, because I find it economical to run and you don't have update your records every year like MYOB. The only problem I encountered with MYOB is each your previous years record gets locked and can't be modified. What if your account figures are wrong and you need to fix it up. This is just my personal suggestion about having any other software that doesn't lock your records so it can be accessed any time when you need to.
